I have a 20 Hp Mercury that runs great until it has warmed up and the it dies. It won't start back up until it has cooled down for a certain amount of time. Any idea of what could be causing this?
How long does it run well till it dies? I had a johnson that ran good cold, when warmed up had problems. It turned out to be a bad coil. Try warming it up until it will not run or start then check for spark.
I will try that. I was thinking that might be what it was. It usually runs for about 10 minutes before it quits, then has to sit for at least that long before it will run again.
