20 or 25 inch shaft on my new bracket?

I am in the process of completly restoring my 1979 Dusky. The boat is just under 20ft and I am thinking of closing off the transom and putting a bracket on the back.

My question is do I run a 20 or 25 inch shaft outboard with my bracket?

I really appreciate any feedback I get.

25 " is the norm that I've seen.

And for max floatation use a twin bracket with a single 30" outboard.
Thats nice if you install a heavier engine ( 4 banger).
