200 dt mid-high rmp bogging

I have '89 200dt suzuki that developed a mid-high rmp bogging problem Saturday. I have about 10 hours on the rebuilt carbs, and before Saturday she was running great. But after 20 mins @ cruising speed she started to bog, it almost seem as if was coinciding with the wave activity. On the way back she'd run 2-3 mins at speed before it re-occurred. Throttle down to idle, then get back up and she run for another few minutes.

Strikes me as a pressure problem in the lines or the pumps, but searching the site, somewhere it also mentioned water flow sensor???

Anyone recognize these symptoms and/or have any advice on where to start looking for the problem?

Also its going to be 3 weeks before I get the boat out again regardless of the problem. I have 1/4 tank (20 gal +/-) of gas left in, that contains 10%ethanol. Should I treat it w/ something?

Thank you, I signed up some time ago and have been finding a lot of information. I was hoping not ever have to post a problem, but the odds on that I guess are rather slim w/ an older outboard.

Started w/ 2/3 now down to just under half, which is usually the range I run, since the cap leaks into the bait well when the tank is full and the engine is up.
The wave thing was just something I noticed when I was trying to diagnose the problem when it first happen, but I had the same issue running in flat water back tho the launch.

Bogging may not be the right term, when it starts I will continually lose power until I throttle down to idle for a few minutes.

then you are right ... water flow sensor ... also check that your thermostats is working properly .....
