Re: 200 HPDI TPS sensor setting
I need some clarification on the TPS setting on a 2001 200HP HPDI. The reference voltage is 5V across the orange and red wires. I disconnected the throttle linkage and backed off of the adjustment screw to fully close the throttle plates and set the voltage to .52V. The full range voltage, from idle to WOT, is .52V to 3.8V. My question is what do I set the voltage to with the adjustment screw once I have established the .52V at fully closed position? And also does the 3.8V at WOT seem low?
Adjusting the tps
1 Disconnect oil pump link rod from the throttle link lever
2 loosen the throttle stop screw until it no longer contacts the stopper
3 connect test harness to the tps
4 turn the engine start switch to on
5 LOOSEN THE TPS SENSOR SCREWS
6 Adjust tps until output voltage is obtained
7 tighten tps screws
8 turn throttle stop screw in until the throttle valves start to open
9 turn the throttle stop screw in until until the tps is within specs.
tps sensor output voltage with throttle fully closed 0.50 +- 0.02
tps sensor output voltage at engine idle 0.60+- 0.02
