200 JOHNSON ON 150HP CENTER CONSOLE

I HAVE A 19' ANGLER CENTER CONSOLE WITH A 25" TRANSOM THAT IS RATED FOR UP TO 150. I HAVE A JOHNSON 200. WOULD IT BE TOO MUCH FOR THE BOAT. THE BEAM IS ABOUT 8' SO IT IS A WIDE AND STURDY BOAT. TRANSOM IS AWESOME. APPRECIATE ANT INPUT. THANKS!

Angler boasts a lifetime hull warranty which you will probably void by overpowering the boat. You should contact them though and see if the boat can take the weight and power.

I have newer 19' CC rated for 150hp with a 200 on it, but mine is a newer boat with an older Evinrude V6 cross flow that won't (can't) keep up with a current 150. On mine the weight of the 150 and 200 were the same, but a newer 150 would probably weigh more than an older 200. My CC has no problems with the older 200 on it.
