The last couple of trips I've noticed a miss (like a fouled spark plug or something) @ around 4000 rpm's. This miss doesn't last long though. Only a second or two. It will happen at infrequint times. The last time I took it out I changed the spark plugs. It ran great for about an hour, then it happened again. A short miss at 4000 rpms. The boat starts to fall off plane then the motor picked back up and it ran fine for about 45 minutes to an hour. The fuel filter was changed in October, and I have ran Ring Free (By Yamaha) through 2 tanks of gas.

it may be the begining of something electrical  <br />Are the sparkplug wires in good shape? it could well be time to change them out.

Check "ALL" you connections, even the main plug, all your ground wires, losten them and retighten. If you dont take care of some little thing like that, it may cause an electrical part failure. Its trying to tell you something.
