I have a 2000 115 evinrude ficht that has a flooding problem, It starts and runs great when you first start out but late in the day and after several runs from spot to spot it will be flooded when you try to start it. What would cause this? I have changed plugs and nothing changed. It is like it is building too much fuel pressure. Anyone got a clue? I ask the local mechanic and he hasn't seen this problem. It only does it like I said after several runs and then you fish a spot for awhile. Any help would be apprecated.

Welcome to iboats. :)

Sounds like a sticky direct injector. If I'm not mistaken, they can be disassembled and cleaned. If it were a 4-stroke I'd just put some injector cleaner in the gas, but you shouldn't use it in a 2-stroke because it washes the oil off the surfaces.

Thanks for the welcome and reply, If it was one sticking injector would that be enought to flood the whole motor? seems like that would just loaded up one cylinder, Plus it only does it after it has been run all day or night(depending) and then it is off for awhile. I know they say that the injectors are serviceable and I have seen a break down of the injector in Bass and Walleye mag. but do they sell a kit or is it something you have to send off plus I have no idea which cyclinder it is , The only way to check it would be to pull the plugs when it is flooded and that is on the water and that would be very hard to pulloff since two of the plugs are well below the housing and not the easyist thing to do on dry land.
