2000 15 hp johnson , sounds like its going to neutral at full throttle

i have a 2000 15 hp johnson, it was running fine, then i went for a blast and at or near full throttle, it sounds like its jumping into neutral, but when throttling up slowly it sounds sounds ok , now the only thing that is different is that the oil/gas mixture is about 25 /1 for my old gale, and the johnson is usually a 50/1, could the rich oil mixture make it feel like its going into neutral? too much oil to make a spark at higher speeds?

Forget the oil idea. It's not that. Does the motor act like it's hit a log, or does it just smoothly start to increase RPM?

You will either need a prop shop to replace the hub INSIDE the prop, or buy a new prop.

Are you sure your prop isn't blowing out? Try adjusting your trim or your jack plate if you have one. Also check your fuel line for leaks. My boat acts like it's revving up when it blows out, and it also acts like it's revving up when the fuel line has a small leak in it. Check the fuel line for leaks and adjust the jack plate or trim before you replace the prop.
