2000 150 ocean pro

i have a 2000 150 ocean pro. it will crank and start up to idle then it will suddenly rev up and shut off. any ideas
?

Sounds as if it running out of gas for some reason. Try pumping the bulb and see if that keeps it running. If it does, you may have a fuel pump problem.
