2000 175 johnson Block question with pictures

I have a block with some good size gouges in the bearing journals lower half, can it be repaired and used in a rebuild ?Can I leave the gouges in the journals or would the gouges effect the performance , The crankshaft bearings lay in the journals ok but I don't have a good enough understand how two stroke lower end pressure work's ? should the block be scrap ? Thank's for the input JJB

This is not unusal for the 60' motors. Did it leave the impression of the clip groove in surface? Can you post a picture?

Yes it did leave marks in it . also the crank seal journels are marked up with some nicks in them and also black . I am posting a link to share project you can see it there .
