Ok, here is the tale.
I am camping and took my boat with me.
Put it in the lake and ran about a mile and a alarm went off.
20PSI water pressure, good stream of water out the p-hole.
Thought maybe fuel pump had quit.
Took it to the Merc guy and they checked and found a couple bleed lines leaking but that won't set the alarm off, fixed them.
Did a check on the fuel/water separator, no water.
Did a fuel pump check, pumping good.
Me and the Merc guy took it to the river and I let him go at it and he did, 3 trips up and down the river, came back to the trailer and said for me to get in cause he could not get the alarm to sound.
We went up and back on the river about 5600 and nothing, no alarm at all.
He says that maybe something was stuck in a stat and caused the alarm.
Took it back to the lake this am and went about a mile, same distance and alarm went back off again. Now I am puzzled. Do I have a faulty stat or 2 or a faulty alarm.
Water coming out of engine after pulling boat from water was like bath water or just a tad hotter.
Come on guys, give me some direction. The Merc guy is gone to the beach for a week and I don't want to miss anymore fishing than I have too with the rain moving out.
