After a hot run which the engine runs perfect, when the boat is docked, shut off and sits for the night. On the next day first start up, the engine runs rough for 15 to 30 seconds, sometimes till you rev it a bit. Then it smooths out and runs perfect all day. Been doing this for some time. Cap rotor, wires, plugs all replaced. No change. No codes in the ECM system.

It seems if you run it slow and cooler prior to docking for the last ride of the day, it is fine on a cold start.....

I in no way mean when it's hot we are doing something wrong. Hot just means 180 deg on the gage like after tubing the kids a few hours. This is not an overheat type question at all. The engine is perfect.

Just curious because my friends with the same engine does not do it. Mine has for a few years.... Intermittantly.

Calibration type issue? Normal? Just wondering.

Thanks,
