generally the 4-bangers get a 2.15:1, the V6's and small V8's get 1.95:1 and the big V8's get 1.78:1

Twin 5.0 Gi with dp-sm with two different Outdrive ratios

Well we?ve been working on the boat all summer with a hesitation in port motor. my mechanic finally figured it out the good side has a 1.95 ratio and the side it was giving me a problem as a 1.78 Both drives are in excellent condition I should 1.95 ratio.
Well I believe my easiest solution is to sell the 1.78 and buy a used 1.95 outdrive. Any other solutions to this.

How long have you had this boat? And from whom did you purchase it?

Since you have now opened a second post on this combo, it may get confusing if you go back and forth between them

Thanks for putting them together
I bought the boat about six months ago and work my way through it and everything was working well we just couldn?t figure out what was causing this hesitation and now we figured it out. I?m learning my lesson the hard way I did not get a survey. So now I?m looking for a outdrive and then I will try and sell the one I have.
I can?t believe this very frustrated

your drive is much newer than mine or I would trade ya lowers. suggest listing it on ebay and finding the lower you need.
