I have a 2000 Mercury 40Hp 4 stroke<br /> Model: 2000 40ml 4st<br /> Serial: 0T085019<br /><br />I have taken it to the dealer and cannot get it to run well. The Carbs were cleaned twice and finally replaced. Prior to replacement the engine would not stay running at low speeds <2000 rpm - it would constantly stall and have to be restarted. After Carb replacement the low speed problem was almost gone but after running perfect for about 1 hour the engine now surges wildly and stalls at full throttle. <br /><br />I have drained the gas tank and used Mercury QuickKleen but that did not help.<br /><br />The dealer is committed to fix the engine but I need to get some ideas of where else to look.<br /><br />Thanks
