I have a Johnson 50 HP with power trim that sat for nearly 6 years of no use. I recently fixed the issues with the motor, but to no surprise, now we have a trim issue. A minor, but an issue nonetheless. I noticed on the 3rd trip that there was a sheen on the water when we would stop... after getting home, I noticed the trim was very hesitant. Thinking it may be the battery, I charged the battery overnight, but it didn't fix the issue. After investigating and refilling the trim with ATF, I noticed it was leaking from where the ram slides in and out. 6 years of sitting, it has to be just dried up.
So I bought a o-ring and seal kit. I have the trim breakdown graphic, but I am unsure how to disassemble it. I am asking if anyone can tell me or show me how.
