2000 50hp fuel prob

if i prime the motor at the key it will run untill all the primer fuel is gone. i have replaced the fuel filter, primer bulb, fuel lines and ends. also the primer bulb will not stay hard, im just not sure what my problem is if some one can give me a few places to start looking i would greatly appreciate it.<br />Tacforce

Also check the fuel pump. How long has it been since you rebuilt the carbs?

Losing bulb pressure can be caused by several things bad fuel pump, carbs that need rebuilding<br />or a pin hole in line or bulb.

I'm sorry about delay, I am not sure how to use this sight yet. The vent is open. I am gonna try to figure out how to check the fuel pump and to try to figure out how to clean the carbs. the carbs have never been rebuilt as far as i know. since I have had the motor it has been used very little. as a matter of fact it looks brand new under the hood. I used to be a automotive mech. but know nothing about boat motors.
