Hey guys, last weekend I put a rod threw the case on my 90hp 2000 mercury outboard (4 stroke with carbs). I'm just wondering if this can be fixed? more so, I'm wondering if it is worth the money to be fixed. I'm most likely leaning towards replacing it with a newer motor, but if anyone has experience with this motor or problem I'd love to get some advice so I can start moving forward with fixing or replacing.
Thanks

Once you put a rod through the block that is it. The best way to fix is to replace or find a used powerhead. Probably more damage in the motor.
