I have a Glastron GX-185SF Volvo 4.3 V6, SX Drive with a 14.3x21 aluminum 3 blade prop. I am looking for anyone that has this same boat and has put different props on it. Specifically a stainless prop. I mostly pull tubes(usually two, sometimes 3, knee boards, etc.), sometimes we take a long cruise to get to the bay. So fuel economy still on my mind. But going fast is fun too. Thinking of going to a Turning Point 14x21 4 blade SS. Thanks! WOT is currently 4200-4600 with load, and up to 4800 if I am by myself. Motor max is 4600 per Volvo manual.

Not quite the same setup but stock pitch was the same, engine and gear ratios are different. I have a Glastron SX-195 with a 5.7 VP. It came with a 21 Al prop, I rehubbed my 20 in Raker so it would fit the VP SX drive. The boat rode higher in the water, the whole boat, not jut the bow. It had very good grip on the water. Aldo have a 22in Raker. 4 yrs later I switched to a 20in Enertia, which has been on the boat since. Both props have towed skiers and tubes and attained a top speed of 65 mph(gps)

I have a 2001 Larson 190 s&f with the same motor drive combo. A 21p 4 blade prop in aluminum will most probably give you what you want. It will definitely jump on plane quicker and stay on plane at a slower speed. I run a 3 blade 21p for watersprts and switch to a 23p for cruising the lakes.
