New here, hoping to get some help with a problem my dad is having with his Outboard. He was trying to test his fuel gauge that was not working a few months ago and discovered that when he turned the key. The engine would not turn over, he thinks he may have fried something during his test?. No lights or gauges would power up either. Horn and bilge still work. We found out today that the tilt/trim is not working as well.
Checked fuses, ignition. Both good. Grounds look good too. Would a bad tilt/trim relay prevent power from getting to the engine to start at all? We are at a loss as to what it could be.
