2000 johnson 70 horse carb prob?

i just baought this boat after it had set unran for three years after messing with it and manually primming/choking i got it to start and it idoled fine and reves fine. at low speen it floods out if giving throttle but if you get it to rev in gear it gets on plain and runs fine ran it up ands down river for 2 hours fine no problems,stop and put it in reverse on it will flood out and die the try in forword it will do the same but eventually it runs out .starts fine after i get it starterd first time but hard start after settin for hour,im thinking rebuilding and cleaning carbs will salvemy problems. anyone have any suggestions for me runs to good to be much i think have checked bulb and hose good

carb cleaning, and rebuild, then a link n sinc. should put you on top. have you check your compression and spark. you should just for future reference.
