motor runs fine most of the time but sometimes it completely cuts out for a second or two. happens more during wot and with more people on the boat. it never dies just cuts out real quick and then keeps going. pretty sure its not fuel related, acts like ignition. anyone else ever have this problem?

What have you looked at so far so we don't end up chasing our tails. Plugs, water in fuel, loose plug wire, loose coil wire, primer bulb being sucked flat, and this is just a few things you can "see".

Fuel sample into a clear jar. Preferably with the low spot of the tank under the pick up.

Spark test when at operating temp with open air gap spark checker.

Compression numbers are a nice thing to know.

Usually, intermittent misses can be attributed to:

1. Fouled plugs
2. Water in fuel/bad fuel
3. Heat soaked ignition components that fail when warm.
4. Failing key switch, or loose key switch/connections.
5. Corroded wires/connectors/broken wires

In no specific order.

I've not checked anything yet. it has a new primer bulb. has 145 psi on each cylinder. its not really a miss that I'm experiencing . its like the ignition system completely shuts off for a second or two and its definitely worse at wot and more weight on the boat. boat is docked at marina so its not convenient to check. I will be looking at it this coming weekend, please give me a list of things to check. thx, chris
