2000 Johnson 90hp 2 stroke

I am looking at a boat with a 2000 Johnson 90hp 2 stroke and would like any feedback regarding performance and reliability of this motor. The boat was used in saltwater and has had 61 hours of use. Thanks

Hi, Isinbad2.<br /><br />Welcome to the Board.<br /><br />There were some build quality problems with the last year of OMC-built engines, but after 4 years I would expect any flaws to have been corrected.<br /><br />The problems were not with design or engineering, only with assembly.<br /><br />I would have no concerns with the engine, after compression test and sea trial.<br /><br />Good luck.
