2000 mercruiser 3.0 fuel filter

would it cause any issues to remove the factory fuel filter and install an auxiliary fuel filter set up? didnt know if it would cause any issues not having a filter in the fuel pump bowl

If the filter in the pump is removed, there should be no issue installing on between tank and pump, like a spin on canister

Thank you!!! i didnt believe there would be but you just never know these days, lol wanted to make sure there was no valving in the pump canister that the filter spring pushed up on or anything.

Ayuh,..... When I add a canister style filter, I replace the in-pump, 'n/ or the carb filter at the same time,.....

They're like a 2ndary safety system to keep crap outa the carb,.....

Odds are, they wouldn't need replacin' for 10 years, but they're still there workin',....

Cheap insurance,....
