Hello,
Trying to figure out how many gallons the gas tank holds on our 2000 Monterey Montera 198LS w/ 5.0 gi/sx Volvo (fuel injected).... The fuel gauge reads way under (better than over, eh?) and the engine manual says you can damage the fuel pumps running them dry - Otherwise, I would just pack a 2 gallon gas can and run her dry to figure it out. No spec info in the boat manual and the Monterey site & forum is a dead end. Dealer guess is 32 to 40 gallons - but that's a big difference when you are trying to figure out your total travel distance range.
