I hit a oyster bar about a week ago and tore up my prop, prop shaft, and prop shaft housing. I replaced them all myself, and when i went to go starft it back up, it wont. It will turn, but it never seems to want to start. Any help would be appreciated!!!

Did you have a couple of oysters on ice with tabasco and lemon with black pepper while you were there at least ..... just jokes .... have you tried a compression test after this ordeal, you might have damaged alot more that your lower unit ..

its a classic with the 40 /50 hp suz. -You probably injured the crankshaft, the timing for the chain to the camshafts moves when run a´ground... so the timing gets wrong, -solution change the crankshaft. (often check engine light flashes when u try to start it..) this is a common problem with these engines.

Did you fix this motor? Or still have it? If the internals are broke but the other stuff is ok, I might buy it from you. I need a bunch of parts for my DF40.
