2000 Volvo Penta Sx drive question

Please have a look at the attached photo of the propeller carrier assembly removed from this drive, water was entering this drive through the rear O ring seal on this carrier. My question is should this carrier assembly be replaced due to the existing corrosion?

I'd say yes, and ask if all your zincs have been replaced, and all the straps attached as necessary?

Wow! if you're slipped there is probably electrolysis taking place by somebody's boat having a poorly done electrical system. Yikes.
