While out tubing the other day, was pulling around 2200-2600RPM, boat suddenly lost power, all gauges were reading normal no warnings buzzers were going off. Just died. Tried to restart and it clunked like it didn't have enough juice from the battery. Paddled back to the boat ramp, luckily it was only about 400 yards.
Anyway, got it home and checked to see if water back flowed thru the exhaust and none of the plugs had water come out, however could not spin the engine. (have not tried to manually spin it yet, unable to get a socket on the crank pulley earlier). WEnt and test the battery at O'reillys and it came back good. replaced the terminals due to a little rust and corrosion. Tried it again, and same issue. Put a multi meter on the batter, reading 12.7v then when trying to crank it drops to 8ish. Hoping motor isn't siezed but I checked oils immediately after engine died and there was plenty on the dip stick and it didn't look dirty or milky (was just serviced 3 months ago).
Please tell me I haven't destroyed the engine considering I just bought the boat in June.
