I have an '01 Crestliner Superhawk that over the last year started taking on water. I tried everything to find the leak, sealing intakes (washdown & livewells) replacing the plug assembly. After finding this crack I thought I had (and repaired) found the problem.
Well after all that I went to wash the boat out at the local carwash, after spraying the entire boat down I went to take the plug out, but it was seized up and I didn't have pliers to get it out, so I drove home. My driveway has an incline and I parked my boat to where it'd drain quickly and grabbed some pliers. At that point I noticed a good portion of the starboard transom bolts all weeping a decent amount of water. So I popped the back casting deck off (that I replaced 2 years ago) and to my horror found this.
Wood was completely rotten (and yea I had a mouse chew a lifevest up over the winter, he's no longer with us). Found a great video
which has helped a ton (nearly identical boat).

Super disappointed in the terrible craftsmanship of this transom, it was unsealed, and held together by only a few U-nails. I HIGHLY suggest anyone looking at a early 2k Crestline to look at the transom! Turns out this plagues these boats.
So Crestliner is no help.
I need help on where to find new transom bolts as I had to cut a few to remove them.
Suggestions on what to coat this new transom with to waterproof it as best as possible without adding thickness?
I want to permanently seal some unneeded screw holes for transducer and transducer cable management holes, should I have those welded? JB weld them closed?
Supposedly the plywood is 5/8" inch, measuring it in multiple spots gives me 1/2" to just slightly over 1/2". Any ideas?
I'm doing all this by myself, and would like to have this back together by 6-25 my annual fishing trip to the Easter Sierras.
Thank you for reading and any ideas/tips/experience is greatly appreciated.
