I have a 252 mako with twin Evinrude 175's. I changed both lower unit oil's about a month ago and noticed my starboard engine had orange looking oil draining out. My port engine was nice and dark looking like you would expect. I changed the oil in both engines and also changed the washers on both the fill and drain plugs and used the boat for a month or so. Today I drained the starboard engine again and the oil is still orange. Is this a sign of water intrusion or something more or less serious? Also, when I push and pull on the starboard prop there is some play in it. My port engine has zero play when you push and pull on it. Can this play in the prop shaft have anything to do with water getting into the oil? Is this something I can tighten?
Where else should I look? Also, FYI, Replaced the water pumps in 2006.
Thanks, Jason
