2001 FICHT 175 TROUBLE CODES-STARBOARD

STARBOARD ENGINE- CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND WENT OFF AND MOTOR RUNS JUST FINE. HOOKED COMPUTER TO IT TODAY AND FOUND CODE 47 (AIR TEMP SENSOR MALFUNCTION) AND CODE 44 (BAROMETRIC PRESSURE SENSOR MALFUNCTION). DO I NEED TO JUST REPLACE BOTH SENSORS?? WHERE IS THE BAROMETRIC SENSOR? MOTOR RUNS JUST FINE OTHERWISE. The barometric sensor is inside the computer (EMM) but it takes its reading thru the exhaust pressure sensor on the lower stb. side of the block. Just follow the small rubber hose from the EMM, past the plastic diaphragm housing to the block. You have to remove the lower pan bolts and move the stb. pan to the side for access. <br /><br />This sensor is supposed to be inspected and cleaned at each 100 hour engine service, but chances are its never been done and the tube is plugged solid. It may also be carbon stuck inside the block and has to be carefully drilled out.<br /><br />The air temp sensor error code is most likely someone removing the electrical connector from it when taking the air box off, and forgetting to reinstall it before turning the key to ON. The EMM would sense the open temp sensor circuit and store an error code.<br /><br />P.S. Please turn off your CAPS LOCK key

Thanks Seahorse!!<br />Just took a look at it and it will take a little time to access where the hose attaches to the block. Will try to look at it this weekend.<br /><br />You are exactly right about the air sensor. I remember turning the key to "on" without re-attaching the air sensor back to the intake after changing out the water/fuel filter.
