I need some advice. I have a Johnson Ocean pro 115 HP outboard but I am down a cylinder. I am good on compression but one cylinder is not getting spark. Stator or voltage regulator?? How do you check this? Or whats your thoughts

I doubt it is the stator.----And it is not the regulator.------So switch the 2 coils and see what happens.----Does the problem stay on the same cylinder or does the " no spark " cylinder change ??

I've installed two new coils already. But I didn't check with a meter to see if one of the new ones are bad. Initially thought I had a fuel issue because of how poorly it was running. I changed all fuel lines to both tanks, new primer bulb, rebuilt the fuel pump( diaphragm had holes), new fuel filter, even went as far as pulling fuel tanks off the boat, got rid of old fuel which was not old, and I have got this one cylinder not getting spark.
