2001 Merc 115 OB Carb help needed

My brother-in-law has a an '01 Merc OB, he seems to think the "carbs are clogged up." from listening to him, I think he may be right. Can someone give me a "heads up" into this repair? I have a mechanical background, DSL and gas engines, I've just never worked on a "small boat motor" just ones like 6-BT and 6-CT cummins and larger DSL engines. He's bringing it over later this week for me to look at it. If it's like the rest of "his broke stuff" I'll get a bunch of free fishing trip to the coast out of it if I get it running right. It is a very common problem to have the carbs clogged on a smaller motor. It really is a similar fix to all carbs. Just take it apart and shoot everything with a nice soak of carb and choke cleaner and also use a needle to clean up the jets really nice. Its pretty simple
