Does anyone know anything about this manufacturer? It has a Johnson 115 Ocean Pro engine on it. It looks OK but cannot see the hull to determine what type V it is.

The Seaswirl 175 is a deep V hull configuration. Seaswirl is still in business and you could probably contact the manufacturer direct for more detailed information.

like many of the "sea" boats, known as a good mid-level boat. Now that it's 10 years old, its maintenance is more important than its pedigree, although you want a boat that is well designed at any age.
I recommend against getting the first year of any model; there are often bugs worked out later that make it a better boat or easier to work on.

boatless,

I have the '99 model of that boat. Solid construction, very agile, gets up on a plane in a hurry. I have the 90hp Johnson and she moves pretty well. The 115 is the biggest OB motor that came from the factory for that model...it should be plenty quick and have more than enough power to ski, tube, etc. Plus, if it matters to you, the lines are just so nice to look at. Very attractive boat, one that you can sit there and just think to yourself..."Man, she's pretty."

Good luck with your search.
