Thanks to anyone who can give me some insight here. I am no mechanic.
2001 Stingray 180 - stalls out when going anything over no wake speeds - usually.
Took the boat to a marina for repairs. Fuel pumps been changed, and they found water in the gas. They emptied 20 gallons, and added 10 gallons of good fuel.
Boat starts right up cold - idling is no issue - around 900RPM. Most times I can only just go into gear and putt around. Today I took it out and sat on the water for an hour or so and the boat cooled down. When I started it back up that second time, I had full control. RPMs bounced a bit. There was a bit of hesitation, but I was full throttling no problem. I dropped back down to idle, and tried to throttle back up as a test. It stalled again. If I pump the shifter the right way it seems like I can get myself above 20k RPMs and then it's OK for awhile, until I put it back into nuetral, and try to rev up again.
Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what the next troubleshooting step be?
Thanks again
