Engine has been sitting for a while, (6+ months).Engine will not rev beyond 2500 RPM. If I choke it a little it will go 3000. Makes a kind of popping backfire sound like its running out of gas or too lean. There's a brass cap/plug where an enricher/mixture screw would be with no adjustment possible. I removed and cleaned the carburetor. The main nozzle valve had some blockage which I cleaned then blew out with air pressure. All jets are clear, carburetor pump works good. The needle and seat was fine. Replaced fuel filter and new plugs @ .035 gap. Fuel pump will squirt gas several feet. Fresh gas. Primer bulb will pressurize, no visible leakage in fuel or vaccum lines. Where do I go from here?
