I am currently restoring my '01 Chapparal after sitting in storage for 4 years. I got the engine turning after a can of PB Blaster, a few days soak and a breaker bar. It looks like the gas (the 15 gallons I pumped out of the tank was BAD) did a number sitting in the carb. I have good fuel delivery from the fuel pump, but little/no gas smell at the carb throttle body after pumping throttle while cranking engine. I found the Volvo Penta number for the carb but I want to know the Holley number so I can make sure to get the right re-build kit. Also, any advise/tips on the re-build will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!

There should be a LIST Number stamped into the choke plate housing. That is the number Holley uses.

Thanks for the quick and complete response!!
Looks like the only option is the Sierra kit, so I got the 3854020 replacement kit from here; 12/5 expected delivery which gives me some time for other things.
Can you tell me what the kill switch does to the engine power system and how to test it (I dont trust it after all that time sitting)? I may just ohm it out for now and either jump it or disconnect it (depending on NC or NO) because I would hate for that to be my starting problem.
Thanks again for the answer to the carb question!!

The kill switch shuts of power to the coil.
When you turn the ignition switch to run, you put power to the purple wire that goes to the coil. The kill switch is a NO switch with a key of some kind to hold it open. If that key is removed, the switch opens and shuts off power to the coil.

The fact that the engine was frozen (rusted till it wouldn't turn) may also have something to do with it not starting.

The engine did fire several times while turning it over, so looks like I can rule the kill switch out, thanks again for the quick and concise answer. I know I may have problems related to the engine being seized, but it was pretty easy to break loose and I need to get all of the subsystems in proper working order, so air/fuel/fire and then I will work from there. Looking forward to reading through all of the other posts here related to my engine/sterndrive so I can learn. Thanks for maintaining such a informative subforum; I am sure all of the other posters appreciate your extensive knowledge and willingness to help as much as I do.
