2001 Yamaha 150 TRP - no reverse

Put my boat in water this weekend after just changing the lower unit oil and such (normal shavings on plug). Won't go into reverse. Worked perfectly the weekend before. Checked cable and it is moving the shifter forward and back on motor, but no engaging reverse. Any ideas?:'(

did u drop the lower unit or just changed the oil?

Just to make sure you know, only one of the props spins under power in reverse. The other only spins from water movement. A lube change shouldn't have had any ill effect as long as you put enough in. Fill from the bottom til it comes out the top.

Understood and followed to the T. Problem is not even trying to engage reverse when I pull shifter back.
