2001 yamaha 9.9 not starting

I laid my 2001 yamaha 9.9 on the wrong side for about 35 minutes and lost a quart of oil out the carb intake. I put it back on the boat and now can't get it started. I filled the oil level back, pull the plugs and turned it over to clear any oil; put new plugs back in; put some carb cleaner in the gas tank; put my hand over the intak to choke the motor. Sometimes I get it started, very low idle and does't stay running for more than a few second. The engine ran great before this happened. Can someone help me out?

I suspect you'll need to pull the carb off and give it a thorough cleaning - sounds like it is plugged up with leftover oil. Just putting carb cleaner in the fuel isn't gonna help much if the motor isn't running enough to get the carb cleaner through the carb...
