I bought a 2001 Zodiac YL-380 DLX. It has the small center console and a 25HP Mercury four stroke. I know that it could use more HP but I'm happy with the Merc. With two adults sitting side by side on the rear seat it struggles getting on plane. I think tabs would help, however the design of the hull makes this difficult. The fiberglass hull has extensions that stick out from the stern and act as small "steps" to assist in getting back into the boat. I don't think it would be a good idea to mount tabs above these extensions. Anybody have any experience with this type of Zodiac Yacht Tender hull design? Any other suggestions?
