2002 f50Tlra Ignition Problem?

I have a 2002 f50tlra with 8 hours on it. The motor was running fine other than the idle had to be adjusted until about the 7th hour. After that it was having a rough time getting over 4500 rpms. The condition has worstened where it runs rough all the time. I took off the spark plug wires to the 1st and 4th cylinder and no difference i take off the 2nd and 3rd it stalls right out. Im thinking some kind of ignition problem even though the coils are putting out spark on both the 1st and 4th. Any suggestions before i bring this basically brand new motor back to the shop??

sounds like fuel if its sparking, that engine uses a waste spark type system, 1 and 4 fire simultaneously as do 2 and 3. sounds like a dirty/misadjusted carb.
ign system failures on that motor are incredibly rare.

I will take the carbs off and clean them. I am assuming the needles need to be 2 1/2 turns out from seated?

beats me, whatever the service manual says. most since 98 had sealed air/fuel needles.

Been a while but I cleaned the carbs and its been running better for the last couple of years. Still have a pop or almost a miss at about 13 to 1800 rpms. I took that carb off three or four times to mke sure I didn't miss anything and it looks clean. Never took out the low end needles not sure If I want to either. This miss was the only problem till about the middle of the season then athight end rpms it would bog down on me for a second then bounce back. I know the timing is fixed but put a timing light on it anyway at 1300 rpms its all over the place which explains the rough running and pop or miss under load.......what's your thoughts? Carbs are syncd eliminated all water sepeators ad hooked tak directly to fuel pump for test same problemss. Think I missed something in these carbs floats not adjusted right? Decarbed the motor also.
