2002 merc 5.0 alpha 1 gen 2 mpi

I have been fogging motor that I have had for 10 years for winter and last year was told that there are sensors and this should not be done. I never had a problem. They said I should take fuel line off and with a remote tank use a two stroke gas mixture that I cannot find the ratio for. Another merc mechanic said they fog all to their boats?

Ayuh,... Mercruiser recommends against it, but hey, it's yer boat, 'n you can do whatever you please to it,...

Personally, I don't fog any motors, unless I think it gonna be down for several Years, rather than a few months,...
