More information.... I took my motor in for servicing last fall, because my tilt and trim was not working. While it was there for that service, I had it winterized. When I brought it out this spring, there was a strong smell of gas every time I took it out. I have washed it, and checked everything I can think of. The odor is inside the boat, not comming from the motor, and I never smell it while the motor is running. It seems to be comming from the bilge. Is there something that may have been done during servicing, that caused this problem? This is just my second season with my boat, and I gottalotolearn.

Tell us a little more. Do you think the fuel odor is from the engine or in the boat somewhere like a fuel tank or fuel line? Have you looked under the cowl to see if there's a leak there?
Have you pumped the fuel bulb and looked for a leak? Can you smell it more with engine running?

c/6

Hooty
