hey guys i could really use some help before i start replacing the wrong parts. I was out on the lake the other day and when i started my boat the starter kept wanting to be engaged. the kill switch would not shut it off and i had to pull the terminals off the battery. everytime i try to reconnect the battery it instantly tries to start. now would this be my starting solenoid thats bad or what else could it be thanks for any help.!

The kill switch has nothing to do with the starter. Either your starter solenoid is stuck closed or ignition switch is bad. Take the yellow/red (I think) wire off the solenoid and try again. If it still does it its the solenoid. If not its the switch.
