I currently own a 19' 2002 javelin with a 2002 150 vmax 2 stroke ltra on the back. Bought the boat June of 09 and had it on the water for 30 days straight and ran/started perfect. Had the boat out in 2-3 bass tournaments a week and had no issues. Around September and not having the boat in the water for a few weeks it wouldn't start. After using some ether it fires right up and runs/idles perfect. once the motor is hot, it stays running and starts perfect for the rest of the trip. seems like the motor is having a hard time starting when it is cold... I have made sure the prime ball is primes, replaced spark plugs/wires, and no luck.. Thinking this might be a fuel filter or injector problem? Thanks

is it the vz150tlra or the v150tlra?
i'm assuming it's the vz150tlra which is an hpdi motor.
have you serviced your O2 sensor?
what fuel filters have you changed?
the three fuel filters on the motor should be changed yearly anyway. a fouled plug will do this too, the motor at idle in neutral sparks on 4 cylinders and six in gear. could also be a bad intake air temp or cooling temp sensor. a quick check with the diagnostic lamp or laptop will show it.

for 02 it could be a VZ150 a VX150 or a v150.
need the model number.
all the above models use completly different fuel and ign systems.

It is just a v150tlra... The guy i bought the boat from only used the boat at his cabin for the last couple of years. He never mentioned anything about the fuel filters being replaced.
thanks again

I think I figured out the issue today actually.. I took the carburetors out and cleaned them all up and put them back in. The jets on the lower two carbs were dirty to the point to where you couldnt even see threw them!!! This seems to have fix the issue and it started 100 times better cold. I guess the real test will be to see how it performs on the water. thanks anyways for the time!! Good luck fishing! :D
