Hi everyone. I have 2 2002 yamaha sx200 2 stroke on my boat. Starboard engine overheating horn at idle. Port engine fine. First thing I did was pump kit, new poppet valves, and thermostats on both engines. Fresh water only and low hours on the engines. On muffs the port engine is fine, head temp below 140. Telltale starts to pee immediately when engine starts and little water exiting the propeller and drains just above the lower unit.
Starboard engine on muffs is different. Takes about 10 seconds for telltale to pee. Lots of water exiting the propeller and drains Left bank the temp is high but ok, the right bank keeps climbing and shut her off at 170+.
Problem was the same before the maintenance. I'm at a lose to understand this problem. The only thing I can come up with is that the something is leaking around the feed tube from the pump up to the block.
See videos.
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. I'll add that both engines are fine while cruising.
Thanks
