This is a continuation of trying to work through why the motor is overheating..

2003 125HP saltwater 2+2
Had shop replace all water cooling parts in the fall.

Now, when motor is run over 3000 RPM we get the overheat alarm within 20 seconds. Happens everytime. Never below 3000 RPM. We just noticed that we have bubbles coming out of place where the lower unit attaches, right at that line. (We are sure that is where).

Also, Lower unit looks a little crooked (and no we didn't hit anything)

Could air or exhaust getting into the impeller intake be my problem? An exhaust leak?

thanks

Help please

Your Cooling impeller is located in the lower unit. it is possible that the unit was not installed correctly. or the wrong impeller was installed.

I know it's possible but it pees strong and pees even stronger at high RPM.
