2003 200 Evinrude Ficht Idle Problem

Motor will not crank at idle. I can push the throddle hallf way up and it will crank, but when I pull it back to idle it cuts off. Any ideas?

If the plugs are worn open you can have the same symptoms.

There is a possibility that the stator is not generating enough power at cranking and idle speed or the regulator inside the EMM is not allowing enough power to run the engine at low speeds. That would take a trained tech with the diagnostic software to check out.
