Hi guys,

I have a 2003 Mercury jet boat I'm working on with a 240HP EFI 2 stroke, that has no spark on any of the 6 cylinders. A scan shows "ECM-TRIG OPEN" for all 6 cylinders. There are no other faults showing. I have checked the 4 fuses, the connectors, the main relay, disconnected the black with yellow kill wire running from the ignition switch to the engine ECM, and checked the resistance of the crank position sensor, and can't find fault with any of them. I'm stumped as to why there is still no spark...

Would appreciate any further advice! Thanks.

I also just discovered, that the 100 amp inline fuse to the alternator is blown, so I suspect someone reversed the battery terminals at some point... Would this effect any of the other components of the ignition system? The engine cranks over just fine, the lanyard switch operates as it should, and the fuel pump comes on for about 2 seconds when the key is turned to the run position.

Sounds like ECU could have a problem........Send ECU and trigger to Brucato and have tested..

I assume you mean the crank sensor and the ECM? Who is Brucato and where is he or she located?

Thanks.
