Can somebody please help me how to properly do timing adjustment on my boat. I got 2003 bayliner with mercruiser 3.0 engine. There are 2 white wires on distributor. Do i have to start the boat and make sure its at normal temp. After that do I have to turn it off than connect two white wires together and start the boat again or I can do without turning off the boat. Also I am not sure what I have to do with shift interrupt switch. Also when I start with timing light what degree boat should be set. Thanks a lot in advance. I tried to look everywhere but instructions are not clear.
