I have a 2003 F225 with 300 hours on the motor.
Running at 4000 rpms yesterday for about an hour. when I slow down to idle the motor will surge from 600-1000 rpms. If I put the motor in neutral it will shut off. It restarts fine and in most cases runs ok after that.
This is an intermittent issue. It has happened about 7-8 times in the last year.
Changed the spark plugs last year and it seems to clear up for awhile.
Any thoughts?
